Ode to the Donald
Not sure that anymore can be said about this the title is self-explanatory
Ode to The Donald
Behold the Donald, a man most unique,
With his coiffed crown and a tongue in his cheek.
A liar, a criminal, an abusive gobshite,
Who tweets complete bollocks and claims he’s right.
“Believe me, I’m a genius, the smartest, the best,
Ask anyone, folks, I’m passing the test!”
His words are simplistic, spun with PR flair,
Fact-checkers collapse in abject despair.
“Fake news!” he bellows, with theatrical might,
whilst “covfefe” confounded us deep into the night.
A lover of walls, both literal and not,
He builds up his brand with each photo shot.
From golf course to courtroom, his infamy expands,
While the world scratches heads and wrings weary hands.
He rallies the sheep with slogans that zing,
“Make America Great” or some cockish thing.
Yet for all the bold claims and theatrical news,
The Donald remains a satirist’s muse.
So here’s to the Donald, and his idiotic rants,
Who’s remodelled the absurd with his tiny hands.
Love him or loathe him, there’s one thing that’s true,
He’s made satire’s job far too easy to do.
