our world is ruled by tiny lights
shining everywhere, intensely bright
a symbol that defines the state of mind
across generations, across all mankind
this tiny light, this L.E.D
it’s always on , won’t let us be
and yet we crave it, we want it more
as it’s associated with gadgets galore
every hour of our daily life
is overtaken as we try to strive
and keep ourselves afloat
amongst the always on information overload
such hunger for news there has never been
and this dependence on machines
